8. Buy Blazers tickets from NECN this week!
Support community safety efforts!
See the game on Thursday, Feb 21st!
(ONLY a couple of tickets left! Call by end of day on Friday!)
You read it in the newspapers: Youth Violence and Gang affiliation is on the rise…again! What can be done?
The Youth Gangs Program, started in 1988 by NECN, prevents youth gang activity and intervenes at critical times through its active outreach program. This results-driven program used to have eight outreach workers but is now down to only two. This leaves more opportunities for dangerous and sometimes fatal activities to occur.
Businesses, associations, and community members are urged to participate by purchasing tickets to this event. Show your support and recognition of our efforts that positively impact our community livability through youth gang prevention and intervention. Treat yourself, your family, employees or volunteers for a job well-done!
BLAZERS vs. Seattle Supersonics
Thursday, February 21
Game time 7:00 pm
Level 100 seat price: $75
$25 of each ticket goes directly to outreach efforts!
Purchase tickets directly through the Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods. (Tell them you saw this posting!)
Checks should be made out to: NECN/YGP Blazer Event

NECN Office (503) 823-4574, shannon@necoalition.org
Ron Laster (503) 287-9566
Samuel Johnson (360) 356-5614
9. Join a team of "Change Agents". (No uniform necessary!)
Apply to be BNA Board Secretary. This is the most important positions in our association!
The current BNA Board is in need of a person who pays attention to detail and is highly organized. The time commitment is at least one 2 hour community meeting, and one 2 hour board meeting with additional hours with an active committee if that is of interest. Join a solid team of board members who are committed to addressing issues in the neighborhood and building community.
Please send an email explaining your interest to boisena@gmail.com or call 503-913-1625.
