Jeff in the news - East County courthouse

GRESHAM -- Life in the east Multnomah County Courthouse works like this: If defense attorneys want to meet privately with clients, they have to use the kitchen.

When an office flooded in December, the smell of mold was so strong, staff members still complained of head and chest aches three weeks later. And on rainy days, buckets line the courtroom floor, waiting to catch water that has leaked from the roof for years.
