Preventing Waste Focus Group Invitation - Piedmont Neighborhood Assoc.
Piedmont Neighborhood Association and the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability are inviting you to participate in a "focus group" on waste prevention in our community. We asked you to join us because we think you are interested in reducing our carbon footprint. The one way to do this is through waste prevention.
The goal of the focus group will be to come up with a strategies to begin a waste prevention program in Piedmont. Your ideas and knowledge are needed.
All we are asking for is 2 hours of your time to listen to a waste prevention expert and then to give us ideas on how to proceed with a plan in our own neighborhood for a waste prevention plan.
Portlanders are very good at recycling, but reducing your waste in the first place is an even better way to put the lid on your trash and conserve resources.
The Piedmont Board of Directors are personally inviting you to give just two hours of your time on May 27th at 7 p.m. at the Peninsula Park Community Center Fireside Room to listen to what other neighbors are doing and to help plan our strategy to increase waste prevention in every home in Piedmont.
Space is limited, so please RSVP to shaunsullens@msn.com for a spot on the waste prevention focus group.
We will have food and drinks available for you.
DATE: Wednesday, May 27th
TIME: 7 p.m.
WHERE: Peninsula Park Community Center; Fireside Room, 705 N Rosa Parks Way
