St Johns Farmers Market to return June 2010
We are happy to announce our 2010 market season -- June 5 - September 25 (yes, our next season will be longer!).
We are now partnering with the SUN schools in our neighborhood schools--James John, George, and Roosevelt. SUN schools are an expanded community school model that adds educational activities and social services, and increases the involvement of families, community members and local businesses. Our volunteers will have opportunities to teach cooking to kids and hold classes for parents on any variety of topics (healthy eating, growing your own food, etc.). We are looking for volunteers, especially if you have a food or farming/gardening-related skill you would like to teach (English and Spanish speakers are needed).
